Scroll of Ul Tuk, scholar of the City Of Night

The following scroll was posted in many major cities, apparently simultaneously or nearly so, some ten years ago. It’s claimed author is one Ul Tuk, a name otherwise unknown, but which could be translated phonetically from orcish as “The Fool”.

When they look at the stars, what is looking back at them? Do they have any interest in the things which creep and crawl on the world beneath them, or are we less than insects? Or, worse still, do they think to make of us playthings, as a child might with an ant’s nest? What is it that attracts them to us at all, those who look down while their minions look up? Is it that it is perilous cold above us, as all who have climbed a mountain know, and that they want the warmth of the world for themselves? Is it that they, living in the heavens, have no substance, and seek to take ours? Or is that they have no interest at all, and are only bothered by those who gaze up at them, and will soon strike them down? Some will say each, but none can guess the true horror of the situation. None save Ul Tuk, scholar of the City of Night. Find me if you can.

In general, the scrolls, though curious, are regarded as some sort of strange hoax.
